Jurgen Klopp: Two key decisions went against Liverpool in West Ham defeat

Liverpool will aim to avoid making it three straight Premier League matches without a win when they face Arsenal at Anfield, after a draw at home to Brighton and a defeat away to West Ham in their last two games hampered their impressive start to the season.

The Gunners, meanwhile, are still unbeaten in all competitions since their defeat at Manchester City at the end of August and have made a remarkable turnaround to lift themselves up to 4th in the league, just two points and one place below The Reds.

A win for Jurgen Klopp's side will keep them in the top four and within reach of Chelsea, who currently lead the pack.

A victory for Mikel Arteta's side, who haven't won at Anfield in the league since 2012, would continue their remarkable run and lift them above their hosts and into the top four for the first time this season.

Team news

Jurgen Klopp is facing another injury nightmare as nine of his first teamers are currently struggling with injuries, although there is hope that not all of them will miss this major clash.

James Milner (hamstring), Naby Keita (thigh), Joe Gomez (calf), Sadio Mane (chest) and Jordan Henderson (groin) could all potentially return against Arsenal but will be monitored until then, while Andrew Robertson picked up a hamstring injury for Scotland on Monday and will be assessed for Saturday's game.

Who has been Liverpool's player of the season so far? Vote below.

Roberto Firmino (thigh) will remain out, until next month, as will Curtis Jones (eye), along with long-term casualty Harvey Elliot (ankle).

Mikel Arteta is more fortunate on the injury front and only has Granit Xhaka (knee) out long-term as things stand.

Thomas Partey (groin) could still be unavailable, along with Sead Kolasinac (ankle) who was on the receiving end of a nasty challenge whilst away with Bosnia-Herzegovina. Folarin Balogun came off for England U21s on Tuesday with stomach cramps but is not injured.
